Introducing Baby "A" aka Baby Taco! | Grey Bruce Newborn Photographer

Little "A" wasn't sure if he wanted to sleep for me when I first arrived, but once he conked out he let mom & dad toss him around without any trouble - well maybe not toss! He is just adorable and so tiny and I was so honoured to be able to rock him to sleep - one of the perks of my job! Enjoy the sneak peek "J&R" - I'll have the rest of your gallery ready by the end of the week!

I'm Back....for a bit! | Grey Bruce Photographer

I apologize to all of my blog followers for my lack of posts this past month, but these past few months have been nothing more than chaotic! I never thought I would be turning away business, but unfortunately I have had to do that more times than I can count these past few weeks. I'm starting to wind things down for the holidays - I am really looking forward to spending some time with my family! My husband & I took a much needed holiday to Aruba a few weeks ago - it was definitely hard to come back to all this snow and freezing temperatures!

Just as any fyi for everyone, I am currently reviewing my pricing structure for 2009 and will be posting that on the blog and the website in the next few weeks, so please check back before the end of the year for 2009 rates & packages.

My beautiful neice & sister-in-law were here this weekend for a visit and my son loved having his cousin and Auntie to play with. He was a little jealous though when mommy played too much with his cousin "L" - I'm not sure he's ready for a sibling yet! We took a few quick pics of "L" in her Christmas party dress so I thought I would share! Doesn't she look like a little Christmas cherub?!

I'm trying to make up for lost time so I've posted several sessions from the past month below so keep scrolling & thanks everyone for stopping by!

Baby Taco | Grey Bruce Maternity Photographer

Baby Taco actually arrived a few weeks ago and I had the pleasure of taking his photographs on Saturday - what a cutie and he slept like a dream for me! I'm going to have to keep you in suspense for a few more days though (because I haven't even downloaded his photos yet!) so I hope these beautiful pics of mom & dad will tide you over :-) Thanks "J & R" for a great session!

One Cute Kid | Port Elgin Child Photographer

I just fell in love with "A"'s smile - he is definitely going to break a few hearts when he starts dating in a few years! Thanks for a great session "A" and have a great Christmas!

Mango Tango | Owen Sound Childrens Photographer

I had so much fun with this family! They were such a relaxed and loving family and it clearly shows in their photos. Thanks so much for a great session and for the hot chocolate and cake! For any of my blog followers that might be looking for a make up artist for an upcoming wedding or photo session with me, Mom owns Mango Tango and is a well known make up artist here in the GTA who does a fantastic job! I think I might just have to book myself in for a lesson!

York Forest | Kincardine Family Photographer

Obviously not a sneak peek considering the amount of snow on the ground today and the temperature outside! But I wanted to share a few photos of this family that I captured on one of the last nice days of fall - I think I was wearing shorts that day!

6 pounds of cuteness | Port Elgin Newborn Photographer

Mom & I met a few years ago at a baby music class and have been friends ever since - her oldest daughter has been a great little model for me over the past few years and can be seen on the website :-) So when J told me she was pregnant again I knew I wanted to take photos as soon as this little one arrived. I was so happy when she agreed to come over last week when Baby "E" was just 7 days old - she is just a tiny ball of cuteness and slept the whole time - absolute dream! Congratulations J & J - she's beautiful!

How sweet is this - I think she opened her eyes just for a second to give me a little smile!

Chilly Days of Fall | Port Elgin Family Photographer

It was pretty cold when we headed out to the woods last weekend to catch the last of the fall leaves. Little "C" was a trooper though and had a great time kicking through the crispy leaves! Thanks for hangin' in there with me & be willing to brave the cold!

Double Trouble & a Big Sis | Grey Bruce Child Photographer

A few weeks ago we went to Stratford for our yearly trip to the festival and lucky for me we also managed to squeeze in a quick visit with a very good friend that I haven't seen in years! We've both had kids over the past few years - J has had a few more than me! Second time around they had twins and between their 3 little girls they don't stop running! I took advantage of the opportunity and snapped a few quick photos - I thought my son was active - these girls could definitely give him a run for his money! See you soon J - thanks for a great afternoon!

Happy Birthday!

Yesterday was my son's 2nd birthday - we're having a party for him this weekend, but we couldn't let the day go by without a few candles and some cake! His eyes lit up when he saw all that icing - I can't wait to see his face on Saturday when we decorate the house with balloons and streamers just for him! I'll post more photos from his actual party but here's a few quick pics from the cupcake smash :-)

9 Days Old | Owen Sound Newborn Photographer

I love photographing newborns, especially when they are only a few days old - this little guy was just over a week old when I saw him last weekend. He put up a bit of a fight in the beginning (I wonder if that has anything to do with having Notre Dame fans for parents!), but once mom finally got him settled, he let us move him around without too much trouble. I had a really hard time picking just a few of my favourites to share so here's a few too many!

A Crisp Autumn Morning | Kincardine Family Photographer

This family will always be special to me - they were my very first newborn clients and they are just the nicest family you could every meet! It was great to catch up and to see how much Baby "J" has grown over the past 7 months. We met at a local conservation area and although I was a little worried about the temperature (it was only 6 degrees when I left that morning), Mom was prepared and had "J" dressed in lots of layers & the cutest sherpa hat to keep him warm. Mom & I talked a lot about which weekend to have this session and I think we lucked out because the fall colours were definitely at there peak, which certainly made for a colourful backdrop!

Pickin' Pumpkins! | Port Elgin Child Photographer

I met this family for the first time about 6 months ago (remember the baby in the teacup?) - this time mom thought it might be kind of fun to get the kids outside and so we met up at a local pumpkin farm. The kids had lots of fun playing with the pumpkins and crawling through the hay bales and I had just as much fun chasing after them!
